Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Absolutely. At Rabbit Hole Tattoo Studio, we take your safety and well-being very seriously. We use only sterilized equipment and follow strict hygiene protocols to ensure that your tattoo or piercing is safe and clean.

Yes, we require a deposit to secure your appointment time. The amount of the deposit will depend on the artist, and will be applied towards the cost of the service.

Navigate to our Booking Hub using the top menu on our website. From there, select the artist whose work speaks to you—each profile includes info on their style, availability, and how to book. You’ll find all booking instructions just beneath their photo.

Our team is diverse and skilled in a variety of styles—traditional, neo‑traditional, illustrative, script, bold color, and black & grey. Each artist has a showcase of their work for you to review or use as inspiration.

Yes! If your tattoo needs a touch-up after healing (typically within 2-3 months), we’ll gladly schedule that. We also welcome cover-up and rework projects—set up a consultation and our artists will help you redesign or refresh–quality guaranteed.

Healing time typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on size, placement, and your skin type. Full healing (below the surface) can take a few months.

That’s totally normal. We encourage bringing references or discussing ideas—even if they’re rough. Our artists are here to help you shape the perfect piece, whether you know exactly what you want or just have a vibe in mind.

Yes, you're welcome to bring a support person—especially for longer sessions!

Pain levels vary by placement and personal sensitivity. Common areas like the forearm are more tolerable, while areas over bone or with thinner skin can be more intense. Your artist will help you prepare and check in throughout the session.

 Pregnancy:
For the safety of both mother and baby, we do not provide tattoo services during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding:
The tattoo healing process and skin sensitivity can be unpredictable while breastfeeding. We recommend waiting until your body has fully healed after childbirth. However, if you choose to get tattooed during this time, please note that you must discard your expressed breast milk for three weeks following the appointment.

  • Get a Good Night’s Sleep: Being well-rested helps you feel relaxed and better able to handle the discomfort during your tattoo.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before your session. Hydrated skin not only feels better but also holds ink more evenly.
  • Eat a Healthy Meal: Have a nutritious meal at least an hour before your appointment. A stable blood sugar level can help keep you comfortable through the session.
  • Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Both can affect your blood's clotting properties (and your nerves) — it's best to avoid them for 24 hours prior.
  • Review Aftercare Instructions: Familiarize yourself with the recommended care for your new tattoo. If you have questions, ask your artist in advance.
  • Dress Comfortably and Appropriately: Make sure your clothing allows easy access to the tattoo area and is comfortable.
  • Bring Any Reference Material: If you have design ideas or reference images, having them on hand can help clarify details with your artist.
